Week 2: How to Have Impact

Welcome to Week 2 of the Feminine Leadership Series.

This week we are exploring impact and influence and how to move from success to significance in the world. I like to think of impact in 3 ways:

  1. What you choose to do
  2. Who you choose to impact
  3. How you choose to make your impact?

Having impact is about being able to create an experience in another person. You do that both by being aligned internally and aligned externally.

Internally, we are all a conflagration of parts and we are most powerful when those internal parts are aligned and moving in the same direction. In that moment we are the most congruent we have ever been.

In addition the most impactful people are also aligned external around a calling – a larger vision that’s bigger than they are. Being impactful is about knowing what your calling is – the cultural shift you want to see happen in the world. If you can get clear on the cultural shift that you want to see happen then every ‘transaction’ in your business and every interaction you have moves us all closer to that culture…directly.

3 Types of Alignment

Remember that influence and impact is more about alignment than bravado. If you have one part of you that’s going in one direction and another part that’s going in the opposite direction, people can feel that conflict that’s going on inside of you. Do a personal inventory of your parts. Are they in conflict?

Can you answer this question in the affirmative? Every qualified person should have what I have to offer. If not, you are not as aligned and impactful as you could be. Begin this week by noticing all these incongruencies in your life.

In addition are you bringing both the masculine and feminine aspects of your being to bare? Are these polarities both full and powerfully expressed in you?

Finally, with every word you speak are you aligned body, heart, and mind? Is what you are saying and feeling embodied? Are you not just complaining about what’s missing but becoming what you want to see?

This Week’s Challenge

This week take some time to reflect on your calling – the cultural shift you want to see happen in the world. Download the pdfs and fill in the 4 considerations which will help you identify and refine your answer. Then take the boldest and most radical step you can to having what you do, who you do it with, and how you do it be in alignment with that shift.

Watch what happens this week when you begin to engage your community in conversations about the cultural shift you want to make happen. Commit to viewing the world through this new lens for one week and then share what difference that made.

Look for the next resource in this series in your inbox in about 7 days.

To Your Continued Success,
